Material

1. Sterling Silver - This is the standard material for items in this store.  Most people are not allergic to and do not get skin irritation from sterling silver. Also known as Silver 925, it is composed of 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper. Sterling silver items are antiqued, and the black color from the antiquing process will not come off as time passes.  The front finish is nicely slightly shining finish.  On the back we give decent finish.

2. Platinum (Pt) 10%, Silver (Ag) 90% : This is the best option for people with metal allergies, and is more hypoallergenic than sterling silver.  The pendant is made from 10% platinum and 90% silver.  We excluded copper, nickel etc which are often said to be the cause of skin irritation for sensitive skin people.  Although allergy is unexpected thing, it may not work to some people.  But compare to Pt900 or Pt950, the price is way much cheaper.  So it is your lucky day, if this works.  The color is about the same as sterling silver.  Sterling Silver usually has 96Hv as Vickers Hardness, while Pt10 Ag90 has 133 HV.  Pt10 Ag90 is about 1.38 times more harder than Sterling.  So it is harder to get dents and scratches.

This pendant is antiqued, and the black will not come off as time passes.  On the front, we give mirror polish.  

3. Gold Plated item- K24 Gold (99.99% Gold) will be plated on Sterling Silver.

The finish will be mirror polished on front.  Decent finish on the back.

 We will NOT antique this item. 

K24 looks so rich.  Mesmerizing color.  We can also plate K18 yellow gold on Sterling Silver instead of K24, If you think K24 is too yellow or orange.  As you know, K24 is very hard to tarnish, that means it is good for sensitive skin people.  For sensitive skin people, K24 would be better than K18.

When you choose the necklace chain, both of K24 or K18 yellow gold pendants can go well with K18 yellow gold necklace chain.  On the market K18 yellow gold necklace chain is more often found and also more durable.  

5.Black Rhodium Plated

We will plate black rhodium on sterling silver.   The finish will be matt finish, slightly shining finish.   We call it black but the color is actually grey-ish, because really black metal plating is Ruthenium is used and it comes off easier than this.  This one has more durability so more balanced option.   We can pour white on the back ground color upon a request.  If you wish that, please write us a note “white back color is wanted” upon the purchase. 

Rhodium is known for not tarnishing the color.  Means, the color does not change under the normal circumstances. Hence, This also works for sensitive skin people.  The necklace chain, we recommend getting Black Rhodium Plated on Sterling Silver or Titanium chain.  I think Titanium is solid and lighter in weight, so would be better.

If you need necklace chain, 
Necklace chain listing exists separately and there are some kinds in the "option" section.  

For the necklace chain for this pendant, we recommend wider than 2mm necklace chain since the pendant is quite heavy.  The weight is about 10-11g.

The bail can fit maximum 4.2mm wide Kihey chain.  After that, for the kihey chain, there are 5.6mm wide one existing.  But this one does not fit in our Bail.

On our store, we do not list the necklace chains which our bails do not fit.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE BEFORE SHIPPING ?

We normally don't carry stocks for 1" pendant.  For sterling silver and PT10 Ag90, it takes about (3-)4( -5)weeks.  For any kind of plated items, it will take 4-6 weeks.
